Amelia Schade

Director of Catechesis & Family Ministry

My name is Amelia Schade. I am the new Director of Catechesis and Family Ministry here at St. Therese Little Flower. I recently graduated from Ave Maria University with a degree in Psychology with minors in Theology and Marriage and Family Studies.

Before college, I was homeschooled up until my sophomore year of high school. During high school Iwent to a small private Catholic school called Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family. I was originally born in Fort Wayne Indiana before my father’s job had us move to Illinois. Now I am

happy to be back in Indiana working at this beautiful parish.

I absolutely love Jesus and find Him constantly challenging me to grow. One aspect He is challenging me to grow in right now is to take the time to enjoy the little inconveniences in life.

When I have time off, one of my favorite things to do is go hiking or kayaking. On a different note, I also enjoy curling up with a good book for hours. In the morning, I like to take a few moments to offer up my day to Jesus and Mary.
